Inhibition of protein translation is a mode of inducing neuronal apoptosis and
neurodegeneration in Alzheimer's disease (AD). Phosphorylation of eukaryotic initiation
factor-2α (eIF2α) terminates global protein translation and induces apoptosis. We examined
