Primary graft dysfunction is the end result of a series of donor lung injuries before and after
the declaration of brain death and during the transplant process, as well as in the recipient
after reperfusion. 1 Donor factors play an important role in the development of primary graft
dysfunction after lung transplantation, but few clinical studies have analyzed their impact.
